Nobleford at a glance

Nobleford is a town about 32 km northwest of Lethbridge that has become a bedroom community for the city. It sits on Highway 519, just east of Highway 23.

Charles Noble's town

The hamlet of Noble was founded in 1909 and named for Charles S. Noble, who owned much of the land and built many early buildings. It was renamed Nobleford in 1913 and became a village on February 28, 1918, with Noble as its first mayor. Exactly a century later, on February 28, 2018, it became a town. From the 1930s to 1998, Noble's factory built the Noble blade, a cultivator designed to save soil moisture in the dry, windy climate. A dry climate is easy on houses but hard on outdoor lines that freeze and thaw, so drain them each fall.
